Underwater Elegance

Created as part of my high school senior exit project, Underwater Elegance is a large-scale ceiling tile installation that features a realistic acrylic painting of a brook trout, set against a vibrant acrylic pour background. The fluid, non-traditional colors and marbled textures of the pour technique were used to evoke the movement and depth of water, reimagined through an abstract lens.

Suspended overhead, the piece invites viewers to experience the underwater world from a unique perspective. The contrast between detailed realism and expressive color creates a sense of motion and fluidity, blurring the line between observation and imagination. This project explores the intersection of nature, perception, and the viewer’s relationship to space.
